This past month I have done heavy research into conferences from several disciplines that I will be sharing with you. There is a wealth of knowledge and paths to be delved into by the independent scholar, the life-long learner, and the continuously curious.
Consequently I have made changes to this blog and the direction it is going to head.
I have started another website called The Telling of Their Stories, and it will deal with how we let the world know who we are. Biography/autobiography, oral history, biography as history, life writing, oral history, family history/genealogy; all these will be highlighted there.
So make sure you stop by regularly to find out what conference is coming up, or to see a video, or to learn about a new passion which I have acquired.

The Quest For Knowledge
Since I was a small child, I knew that my path here on earth would include the quest for knowledge. When the Bookmobile came through town every two weeks, I would get my best friend Denise to help me carry home 21 books.
Accordingly, I have worked for libraries, bookstores, and publishing companies. I have also done freelance editorial work.
One of my favorite places is Barnes and Noble - in the Biography/History sections preferably.
This blog is an opportunity to share with you all the knowledge areas in which I am interested.
So...on with the Quest!
P.S. You can check out my other great passion: Genealogy here at
